Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Sunday arrested three expatriates for smuggling large quantities of khat into Oman.

In a statement, ROP said, ‘Coast Guard Police in Dhofar arrested three people with several bundles of khat. The accused were attempting to smuggle large quantities of khat into the country.’

‘Legal procedures have been taken against them,’ it stated.
